Lalola is a display typeface with strong character.
Lalola (first born as Lola) is a display typeface inspired by a lettering model found in a book by Eugen Nerdinger and Lisa Beck. Lalola takes the few available letters from that model as a starting point and becomes a single style typeface with lots of personality. As Typefacts said: ‘Where others need a gazillion of weights, glyphs and lines of OpenType feature code to make a font lively, Laura Meseguer only needs one slim font’. The character set supports Latin, Central European, Baltic and Turkish languages.
Lalola has already received two mentions, the Typefacts’ Best Typefaces of 2013 and the prestigious TDC 2014 Certificate of Excellence. You can see the nice set of photos of the TDC60 Judging Session on the TDC Facebook page.
