Custom calligraphic texture for Diario Anne Frank by Gran Travesía

This is one of those special projects in which Laura could use the plasticity of writing to emphasize the design concept.
Carles Murillo, the art director of Editorial Oceano’s Gran Travesía collection, asked Laura to collaborate with him and work on a calligraphic illustration for the cover design of the title Diario. Anne Frank.

The concept behind the illustration is to imitate the writing you could find in a diary, which could have been written by Anne Frank, but without the words being intelligible. To do this, I used the authentic diary, copied some words and wrote lines in two paragraphs, which later could then be superimposed in two colours (red and black).
