Sir Edmund is a culture supplement of the Volkskrant, a Dutch newspaper. The Art Director, Lucas van Esch, asked to draw four letters to illustrate some stories about the technical aspects of literature. He gave some instructions but also a lot of freedom. Some of the stories were:
- What is possible to achieve today if you mix the literature with the algorithm?
- How is the AsiBot, the robot that can write?
- Some scientists discovered the identity of the Italian author Elena Ferrante, how did they do it?
I had to draw three big letters for the interior, the A, E and W and the Q for the cover, I chose different styles for each of them, but with some common characteristics: they had to be solved in white and black, no color,  and all had to show some technical properties.
